First crowdfunding is on. I am a bit confused to see that Voxel will want do this for 2,5k. I thought they do not want to do external stuff anymore and focus on their own product. My initial idea for that crowdfunding was to have multiple possible devs for a feature and not one set from the beginning. If this new feature is worth some of you $50, I assume we will not see this fully funded.

a discussion about the features below them would be nice. why are the comments off for the projects single page?

Voxel is the best developer for the crowdfunding as it will most likely become part of the core functions of voxel instead of an addon. There will be time an addon is necessary though. I wouldn’t look at this as external work but rather speeding up the process of some functions by sponsoring the function

The comments should be on the sponsor page on the guide. I haven’t turned them off. I’m wondering now if I chose the wrong timeline option to where only the author can post. I’ll check that out.

I like this approach of a "Sponsored Feature Request" better than an add-on. Early adopters and those with immediate need can get the functionality they need now AND future updates and compatability with future versions of Voxel as it would be the same author.

Previously I paid for several plugins with MLD and had lots of code snippets and eventually lots of these eventually have conflicts with newer versions.

Not a coder, just a cut and paster ;-) thats good at following instructions.
